Wyse Technology Furthers Thin Computing Security Initiative through Partnership with Sygate Technologies

San Jose, CA – 30/08/2005 - Wyse Technology, the global leader in thin computing, today announced it has reached an agreement to offer Sygate Technologies' Sygate Security Agent (SSA) for its market leading Windows XPe based thin clients. The addition of the Sygate Security Agent to Wyse's software portfolio is a key addition to the Wyse's Secure Thin Computing initiative, which provides a best of breed and complete security platform for growing thin client infrastructures.

The SSA for Windows XPe extends Sygate's award-winning endpoint security technology to devices running Windows XPe. SSA provides an application-centric firewall, application-based intrusion prevention engine and flexible deployment of security policies.

SSA can be easily and automatically deployed to Wyse thin clients using Wyse's device management software that simplifies IT management, reduces total cost of ownership, and improves return on investment. Customers can use the "no hassle" deployment features of Wyse's device management software to easily distribute security updates, including, policies and signatures.
