Wyse Technology Thin Clients Adopted by Puerto Rico Court System

Wyse Winterm Thin Clients Deployed in Tribunales to Lower Total Cost of Ownership and Increase IT Security

San Jose, CA – 12/04/2002 - Wyse® Technology, the worldwide leader in secure, managed thin clients, today announced it is helping the court system of Puerto Rico to cut back on rising IT costs and desktop management challenges through the deployment of Wyse Winterm™ thin clients. Instead of deploying 700 personal computers with their support costs and headaches, Tribunales decided to deploy Wyse thin-clients thereby eliminating the problems of long-term personal computer support.

Rock Solid Technologies in San Juan, Puerto Rico helped the court system acquire two different models of the popular Winterm line. The 3200LE terminal provides Tribunales with a solid platform to access both its mainframe application as well as its office productivity applications. The court system is also using the powerful Winterm 3360SE, a unit that offers more flexibility to the power users in the court system.
